This house is a conceptual project by Andrew Haney based on site constraints similar to those found in New Orleans where numerous homes were rebuilt following Hurricane Katrina.
The house is designed to be partially site-built and partially prefabricated. The concrete foundations and first floor of the home would be built on site using a consistent kit of parts. The second floor is designed to fit on a flat bed truck and would be fully constructed in a shop and shipped to the site.
The house was designed to be easily reproducible with minimal waste, customizable, and waterproof throughout the entire first floor to mitigate flood risks and damage.
